We conceive each of our Ford Escorts mk1/2 as a true racing car, with no allowance to nostalgia, and as a genuine piece of motorsport history too.

The building process starts selecting a donor Escort mk1/2 car in prime condition. After sandblast the bodyshell, starts a meticulous process of restoration, seam welding and strenghtening following FIA regulations. To follow is fitting of a multipoint weld-in rollcage, as well as the distintive wheelarches. After around 350 man labour hours the bodyshell is ready for painting.

The following weeks are spent fitting the Bilstein struts and dampers, AP Racing brakes, hydraulic lines of WRC spec, a new wiring loom and all the interior components. Finally, we install the OHC “Pinto” or BDG engine, the “Rocket” or ZF gearbox and the Timken or Atlas rear axle.

The last weeks are dedicated to final details, setting-up and road tests.
